Cancer Care in Military Health Service
Working with Dr. Justin Fox, Captain in the United States Air Force, COPPER team members have initiated an exciting new collaboration with the military healthcare system (MHS). The MHS provides medical care to over 8 million active duty and retired members of the military and their families. While breast, colon, and prostate cancer are among the most common cancers within the MHS, little is known about quality of cancer surveillance following treatment for these cancers among MHS beneficiaries. To our knowledge, this is the first partnership with the MHS to explore quality and costs of care.
