Yale Faculty Participate in ASTRO Annual Meeting Yale Cancer Center and Smilow Cancer Hospital at Yale-New Haven once again have a wonderful presence at the annual American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) meeting this week. Congratulations to the following faculty members for their participation: Lynn Wilson has been appointed Chairman of the ASTRO Annual Meeting Scientific Committee for a two-year term. In a ceremony at the meeting today, Dr. Wilson will also be officially inducted as an ASTRO Fellow. Joanne Weidhaas will also introduce the meeting's keynote speaker, Eileen White. Sara Rockwell is an ASTRO Fellow. Zhe (Jay) Chen and Meena Moran were named associate editors of the International Journal of Radiation Oncology, Biology, and Physics. Zhe (Jay) Chen, Joseph Contessa, Jun Deng, Susan Higgins, Meena Moran,Abhijit Patel, and James Yu served as abstract reviewers in preparation for the annual meeting. Dr. Moran was Chair of the Breast Abstract Review Committee.

Wu Liu will present "Optimizing Imaging Dose and Targeting Accuracy In IGRT for Real-time Radiographic Motion Tracking." The abstract was selected to win the Best Science Abstract Award in Radiation Physics.
