The Yale Cancer Therapeutic Accelerator Program (CTAP) works to accelerate the translation of Yale science and oncology research into anti-cancer drugs and clinical trials to benefit cancer patients at Yale and throughout the world.
The Program seeks to complete the bench-to-bedside loop, allowing Yale and its researchers the opportunity to see the fruits of their research translated into novel anti-cancer therapies.
Despite all the efforts at translational medicine, the harsh reality is that it takes a lot to develop a tool compound into a drug candidate. There’s still a gap, the proverbial Valley of Death. CTAP's goal is to provide stepping stones across the Valley of Death.
