MyChart for Android

- 00:02one of the technology trainers at Yale,
- 00:05New Haven Health and Yale Medicine.
- 00:07This video guide will show you how to
- 00:09download, configure and use my chart
- 00:11for the purpose of video visits,
- 00:13let's go ahead and get started.
- 00:16Before we begin, you will need to
- 00:18have a my chart account with Yale,
- 00:21New Haven Health, and Yale Medicine.
- 00:23If you do not have a my chart account,
- 00:26please contact your provider
- 00:27or visit my chart. Y&H S.org.
- 00:29Please note that it is recommended
- 00:31that you download the my chart app
- 00:34in order for video visits to work
- 00:36properly on your Android device.
- 00:38Please do not use my chart to send any
- 00:41messages requiring urgent medical attention.
- 00:44For urgent needs,
- 00:46please contact your provider's
- 00:48office or emergency services.
- 00:51To download my chart,
- 00:52open the Google play store on your
- 00:55Android device by tapping on the icon.
- 00:57Tap the search window and type my chart.
- 01:00My chart will return as a search result.
- 01:04Tap my chart to continue.
- 01:07To ensure you have the correct
- 01:09my chart app for Yale,
- 01:10New Haven Health and Yale Medicine,
- 01:12look for an icon showing a
- 01:14red folder with a heart.
- 01:16Tap install to install my
- 01:19chart on your device.
- 01:21Now that my chart has downloaded onto
- 01:23your device, tap the my chart icon.
- 01:27Tap except to accept the
- 01:30end user license agreement.
- 01:33My chart will ask you if you wish to
- 01:35allow my chart to access your location.
- 01:38Choose allow while using app.
- 01:41The my chart app will recognize your
- 01:44location and present you with a list of
- 01:47participating healthcare organizations.
- 01:48An alphabetical order to find Yale,
- 01:51New Haven Health and Yale Medicine.
- 01:53Scroll down.
- 01:55Tap Yale New Haven Health
- 01:58Slash Yale University.
- 01:59My chart to appropriately configure my chart.
- 02:03The my chart app will alert you that you
- 02:06can switch organizations in the future
- 02:08by using the switch organizations,
- 02:10but and this may be useful if you
- 02:12see a provider in a different
- 02:15organization that uses my chart tap OK.
- 02:17Got it to proceed.
- 02:20Log into my chart by entering
- 02:22your username and password.
- 02:24Then tap the login button.
- 02:26If you forgot your username or password,
- 02:29tap the forgot password or username text.
- 02:33If you do not have a my chart account,
- 02:36either contact your provider
- 02:37or tap sign up now.
- 02:41Once you have logged into my chart,
- 02:43you will be asked if you want my
- 02:45chart to send you notifications.
- 02:47Select the option that best suits your needs.
- 02:51Next, my chart will ask you if you wish
- 02:54to log in faster using a passcode.
- 02:56Select the option that best works for you.
- 03:01Lastly, my chart will notify
- 03:03you of your notification status
- 03:05and alert you to any messages.
- 03:07Appointments in other reminders
- 03:08you may have simply tap away from
- 03:12the popup window to continue.
- 03:14You will see that my chart
- 03:16has a number of options,
- 03:18including test results messages,
- 03:19an billing since we are focused on getting
- 03:22you connected to a video visit appointment,
- 03:24tap on appointments.
- 03:27My chart will show your scheduled video
- 03:29visit along with any additional visits
- 03:31that have been scheduled in the past.
- 03:34Please note if you do not
- 03:35have a video visit scheduled,
- 03:37please call your provider's office
- 03:39and schedule a video visit as you
- 03:42normally would are regular visit.
- 03:44Complete the check in process
- 03:46by tapping E check in.
- 03:48You will be required to sign
- 03:50any outstanding documents,
- 03:51including the Tele health consent.
- 03:54After you have finished the check in process,
- 03:56you will receive a message that
- 03:58your E check in is complete.
- 04:00Tap the appointment before
- 04:02you begin your visit.
- 04:04Consider the following.
- 04:05Make sure you are in an area with
- 04:08a strong network or Wi-Fi signal.
- 04:11Turn on your microphone and speakers.
- 04:13Turn off your Bluetooth unless it
- 04:15is being used for a medical device.
- 04:18Close any open additional apps.
- 04:22At the bottom of your screen you
- 04:24will see the begin visit bar.
- 04:26When you're ready to start your video visit,
- 04:29tap begin, visit.
- 04:31When joining your visit,
- 04:32you will be asked to join via
- 04:35the app or join via the browser.
- 04:37Tap join via the browser.
- 04:40Top allow to allow video connect to
- 04:43use your devices, camera and microphone.
- 04:46No if you tap block,
- 04:48your video visit will not function properly.
- 04:51Tap allow to allow Chrome to
- 04:53take pictures and record audio.
- 04:55If you do not tap,
- 04:57allow your video visit will
- 04:59not function properly.
- 05:01Note while video connect will
- 05:03have access to your devices,
- 05:05camera and microphone,
- 05:06video visits will not be recorded.
- 05:09Tap allow to allow video
- 05:11connect to record audio.
- 05:13If you do not tap,
- 05:15allow your video visit will
- 05:17not function properly.
- 05:18Note while video connect will
- 05:20have access to your devices,
- 05:22camera and microphone video
- 05:24visits will not be recorded.
- 05:27Type your name in the enter your name field.
- 05:30Tap the box next to agree to the video user
- 05:34terms and conditions and privacy policy.
- 05:38Now tap join.
- 05:41You are now joined to the video visit
- 05:43when the provider joins the visit,
- 05:45you will see yourself in the lower
- 05:48right hand corner of the screen.
- 05:50Get ready to smile.
- 05:52Please be patient and allow
- 05:54some time for your provider to
- 05:56join the video visit session.
- 05:58Once your provider joins,
- 05:59please speak directly into the
- 06:01microphone and be aware of the
- 06:04direction the camera is facing.
- 06:05If you find it hard to hear your provider,
- 06:08try turning up the volume on your device.
- 06:12You may disable your video or
- 06:14mute your microphone by tapping
- 06:16on the controls at the bottom
- 06:18once the visit has concluded,
- 06:20you may tap the Red Disconnect Button.
- 06:23Once you have disconnected,
- 06:25you may close your browser
- 06:27window and the my chart app.
