Elizabeth Herbert Named Vice President for Network Services at Smilow Cancer Hospital

Elizabeth Herbert has been appointed Vice President for Network Services at Smilow Cancer Hospital. In addition, Herbert will serve as the administrative lead for Smilow Cancer Hospital’s Radiation Oncology services throughout the Yale New Haven Health System.

Herbert joins Smilow Cancer Hospital from Memorial Sloan Kettering (MSK) Cancer Center where she most recently served as a Senior Vice President in Hospital Administration. Herbert had administrative oversight of six academic departments at MSK and served as an executive sponsor to numerous improvement projects. Throughout her career at MSK, she served in leadership and management positions within hospital administration, human resources, compliance and internal audit, professional billing, radiation oncology, and gastroenterology.

We look forward to Liz’s shared vision for personalized, integrated cancer care, and emphasis on expanded access to Smilow Cancer Care.”

Nationally, Herbert served as MSK’s representative on the Best Practices Committee for the National Comprehensive Cancer Network and was a leader in the compliance workgroup of the Alliance of Dedicated Cancer Centers. She previously served as the Executive Sponsor for MSK’s Women’s Employee Resource Network.

Herbert received her Bachelor of Science in Public Health from Rutgers University.

She started in her new position in March.
