Breast Friends Fund raised more than $135,000 at a recent fundraiser to fund metastatic breast cancer (MBC) research led by Eric Winer, MD, and his team at Yale Cancer Center. “Taste the Cure” took place on June 9 at Glastonbury Hills Country Club, where Dr. Winer spoke about updates in breast cancer research.
Breast Friends Fund is a non-profit initiative started by Sandy Cassinelli, a breast cancer survivor who is living with stage four metastatic breast cancer. In her relentless work to find a cure, Sandy has raised more than $700,000 over the last several years with 100% of all funds being dedicated to Dr. Winer’s research.
