Smilow Cancer Hospital Care Center at Waterbury physicians Anamika Katoch, MD, Elena Ratner, MD, and Frank Detterbeck, MD, FACS, FCCP are highlighted in the 2021 list of Top Doctors in Connecticut Magazine. Published in the magazine’s June issue, the 'Best Doctors' list includes physicians nominated by their peers. Dr. Katoch is a medical oncologist, Dr. Ratner is a board-certified gynecologic oncologist, and Dr. Detterbeck is a thoracic surgeon specializing in lung cancer.

Dr. Kert Sabbath and Dr. Victor Chang join Drs. Katoch, Ratner, and Detterbeck to provide care to patients at the Smilow Cancer Hospital Care Center in Waterbury. Together with their staff, they see more than 1,400 patient appointments per month and schedule 600 infusion visits. Clinical trials are offered in collaboration with Yale Cancer Center, Connecticut’s only National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer center. Nutritional counseling, genetic counseling, social work, palliative care, tobacco cessation, and patient navigation are all offered on site.
