Telehealth and Video Consult Program
Telehealth at Smilow Cancer Hospital allows patients to remotely connect with their provider to share information or to receive follow-up care, and includes features such as Video Visits between patients and physicians, e-consults between providers, and remote device monitoring. Telehealth can also be used to share clinical information remotely with other medical providers to help make decisions about care. Patients can receive expert medical care from the comfort of their home or a location of their choosing in Connecticut.
Video Visits are set-up and conducted using a smartphone, tablet, or computer with camera, microphone and speakers, and enable patients to communicate directly with their physician. Once it is determined that a video visit is appropriate, all that is needed is a smartphone or tablet with the MyChart app downloaded, and a MyChart account, login and password. To learn more about MyChart, please visit https://mychart.ynhhs.org/MyChart-PRD/Authentication/Login?Authentication/Login?In addition, Video Consults are available if your oncologist recommends a consultation with another provider at Smilow Cancer Hospital. Your oncologist can schedule you for a Video Consult with that provider at your oncologist’s office. You will be scheduled to return to the office and will consult with the provider via video at your appointment time. Telehealth services are currently available with the following specialties:
