Eligibility and Requirements

Yale Cancer Center-Advanced Training Program for Physician-scientists (YCC-ATPP) is a five-year training program that provides salary and research funds for four Hematology/Oncology (Hem/Onc) fellows each year who are strongly committed to be independent physician-scientists performing basic, translational, clinical, or outcomes research in a cancer-related field.

Eligibility:

MD (or equivalent) or MD/PhD degree, completion of second year fellowship training in Heme/MedOnc fellowship program
Hold U.S. citizenship or permanent residency
Strong commitment to a career in cancer research
Required to stay for an additional year (4th year) for the fellowship program

Effort:

YCC-ATPP fellows must commit = 75% effort to research and related training activities in the first year of training and 100% effort to research and related training activities in the second year.

Salary and research support:

YCC-ATPP will cover the full salary and fringe benefits of the fellows at their Yale Post Graduate Year (PGY) levels.
Applicants may request up to $16,000 per year for tuition and fees, and up to $10,226 per year for research support and travel funds.
