Discovery to Cure High School Internship Program
The Discovery to Cure Summer Internship Program was created by Gil Mor, MD, PhD, Professor of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences at Yale School of Medicine,in order to expose high quality students from both local and international high schools to Yale's laboratories and possibly open their minds to future career opportunities in medicine and biomedical research. Sponsored by the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the program is 8 weeks long and is offered to motivated high school students following their junior year.
In order to apply for the Program, students must first be recommended by their science teacher and submit an application along with an essay. Faculty from the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences, in consultation with the student’s high school science teachers, select the top students to receive the internship.
