INFORMATION FOR

Contracts and Budgeting

The CBSU provides trained, professional support and guidance in contract execution and budget development for the faculty of Yale Cancer Center. All clinical trials to be conducted at Yale Cancer Center need to be reviewed by the Contracts and Budgeting Support Unit. The CBSU works with investigators, department business staff, and sponsors to develop contracts and budgets in support of the Cancer Center’s mission and in accordance with both internal and external policy. They prepare executable contracts for signature by the authorized institutional official; work with staff at Yale-New Haven Hospital to develop systems in support of clinical trials; ensure that key personnel are compliant with Conflict of Interest, Human Subject, Animal and Safety training mandates prior to award setup; and coordinate filing of sponsor required reports-financial, technical and patents. The office is also responsible for monitoring and reporting on expenses and revenues for clinical trials.
