Pilot feasibility study examining the patient reported quality of life after stereotactic boost for high risk prostate cancer with hydrogel spacer

Conditions

Prostate | Supportive Care | Non Therapeutic

Phase Pilot

What is the purpose of this trial?

This prospective study will examine the acute impact on quality of life of prostate SBRT with a rectal spacer. Prostate SBRT is being increasingly used in the treatment of prostate cancer, to the point where NCCN prostate cancer practice guidelines allow for treatment with SBRT. However, before SBRT is fully integrated into clinical practice, more should be known about its effects on a patient's quality of life in addition to his tumor control.
