Nutrition and Exercise Tips for Cancer Patients

New Haven, Conn. - Yale-New Haven Hospital and Yale Cancer Center will present a free health talk entitled, “Take Control of Your Cancer through Nutrition and Exercise” on Wednesday, October 15th in Yale-New Haven Hospital's East Pavilion cafeteria.

The lecture is part of the ongoing Understanding Cancer Lecture Series for patients and families living with cancer. A light supper will be served at 6:00 p.m.; the lecture will begin promptly at 6:30 p.m.

Heidi Larson, RD, Clinical Dietician in the Yale Cancer Center outpatient clinics and Scott Capozza, MSPT, Physical Therapist for the Connecticut Challenge Survivorship Clinic at Yale Cancer Center will review ways cancer patients can use nutrition and exercise to help during their treatment process. At the end of the presentation, guests will have time to ask Ms. Larson and Mr. Capozza questions.
