Biography

Amanda Ganzak is one of the Co-Manager Genetic Counselors for the Smilow Cancer Genetics and Prevention Program. Amanda graduated from the genetic counseling program at Arcadia University. She previously worked as a cancer genetic counselor at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX and the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA before joining the Smilow Cancer Genetics and Prevention Program. Amanda provides outreach coordination for cancer genetics services through Bridgeport Hospital and Greenwich Hospital. Amanda sees patients in our outreach location at Park Avenue Medical Center in Trumbull. She values being able to provide comprehensive, multidisciplinary care and access to genetic testing to patients within the Smilow Cancer Hospital at Yale New Haven Health system. She is also passionate about training and mentoring junior genetic counselors joining the Smilow Cancer Genetics and Prevention Program. Amanda is a member of the National Society of Genetic Counselors (NSGC) and serves as a member of the NSGC Cancer Special Interest Group.
