José Teixeira

José Ricardo obtained his Bachelor of Science in Biology at the Federal University of Minas Gerais, where he completed a scientific initiation program investigating centromere evolution in Drosophila species. He then obtained his degree of Master of Science in Molecular Biology at the State University of Campinas, where developed a thesis on a way to reverse haploinsufficiency of the TCF4 gene in Pitt-Hopkins Syndrome. He now is a doctoral student at the State University of Campinas. He won a Fulbright Scholarship to join the Müschen lab in 2023, where he is interested in investigating mechanisms of progenitor B-cell leukemogenesis.
